Senior Manpower Planner Fircroft

Our Client, an oil and gas company is currently looking for:

Senior Manpower Planner (60254)

Department: Human Resources

Objective:
• To develop, implement and maintain a system designed to ensure the successful Identification and staffing of Business Critical and Key Development positions plus the Identification and Development of High Potential employees for future higher level and broader responsibilities in the organization.
• Leads the development and continuous updating of the corporate succession plan for senior management positions and other key positions that require leadership, coaching, mentoring, and other career development programs, taking into account short and long term competency requirements of the company.

Responsibilities:
• To develop and maintain Key position ‘register’ with main competencies, experiences required by Job Holders for all QG departments.
• To develop and maintain data base containing High Potential, Watch list, Emerging Talent and Trusted Resources;
• To plan personal career path through next 5 years – aligned to position register.
• To maintain and steward the position planning and career development calendar for each Department.

Process:
• To facilitate functional and Departmental development meetings;
• To provide support with data, process, regular follow up and cross functional communications which enable effective position and career development planning and execution.
• Track employees’ progress and data through end of year appraisal.
• Serve as a liaison to departments, target employees HR.
• Conduct presentations at participating schools and community agencies.
• Maintains an ongoing awareness of current and future trends in employee development, leadership development, succession planning, and training and development to ensure best practices are considered by the executive in response to changing business needs and priorities.
• Provide regular feedback, and planning to support employee’s success and retention.
• Provide comprehensive career reports including interpretation of assessments and utilization of a variety of resources. Interpret performance assessments to identify appropriate training courses Utilize proactive strategies to increase department awareness and utilization that support the success of the employee.
• Assist employee / department with transfer planning.
• Assist employee / department in developing and monitoring development plans.
• Assist employee / department in aligning their development and career goals.
• Develop and deliver informational presentations for management and line department.
• Use and utilize technology applications to enhance the delivery of succession plans.
• Enhance applicable skills through ongoing professional development follow up through training personnel.
• Contribute in the development of the Strategic Succession Plan.
• Develop innovative retention strategies and new methods for keeping talent in company and focus on the importance of motivation and its links with retention
• Analyze the current market conditions and specific strategies for the LNG sector

Skills Required:
• Degree qualified;
• Minimum 10 years work experience in Human Resources roles;
• Excellent Excel capability;
• Accuracy, logic and flexibility;
• Good understanding of how an organization is structured and operates;
• Data Confidentiality;
• Creativity for solutions to staffing issues;
• Team working;
• Excellent Communication skills – able to influence and set direction;
• Excellent Written and Spoken English.
