Engineering Manager (Code: EngM)

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor degree in Electronic /Telecommunication Engineering from reputable university.
• More than 5 years experience in Telecommunications related and/or broader technology based experience with demonstrated success in upper level management/executive roles.
• Specific industry experiences should include Satellite/ Telecommunications industry, offshore communications, International Satellite Policy and Architecture, Oil and Gas Drilling and Exploration. Experience working in international company. Significant accounting and financial knowledge and budgeting capabilities, significant technical knowledge such as: Satellite Telecommunications Networks, Network management systems, MPLS based Virtual Private Network (VPN), Roaming, and Network-on-Demand IP Video Conferencing and IP Video Broadcasting, Wireless Technology, Microwave. Good leadership & willingness to travel.

Office Manager Hivos

Hivos is preparing a national domestic biogas programme to be implemented during 2009-2012. This programme will be coordinated by Hivos’ national biogas support office. For this support office we are now recruiting an Office Manager. The office manager will report to the Programme Manager of the biogas programme.

Main Responsibilities
1. Office management, including logistics, maintaining of agenda, travel arrangements, arrangement of meetings
2. Maintenance personnel administration for the programme
3. Maintain administration and filing system in compliance with Hivos administration requirements and procedures
4. Coordinate and make minutes of internal meetings
5. Liaise with the counterparts of programme (government, NGOs, private sector)

Qualifications

The office manager should have
• A relevant education
• Strong administration (secretarial) skills;
• Good knowledge of personnel and human resource issues;
• Advanced knowledge of major word-processing and spreadsheet applications;
• Affinity with Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs);
• At least five years prior experience as an Office Manager;
• Able to work independently and take initiatives, but also be a team worker;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to create a team spirit in the office;
• Excellent command of English

Knowledge of and experience in working with Indonesian civil society organisations or an international funding agency will be a distinct advantage.
Candidates are expected to have affinity to Hivos core values.
A competency test will be part of the selection procedure.
The function is Jakarta-based, but may include limited travel within Indonesia (max. 2-3 trips per year). The contract will be for a period of two years and can be extended for one year if performance is satisfactory.

Remuneration
Remuneration is competitive with what is offered by most other INGOs based in Indonesia. The net salary for the office manager will depend on qualifications and experience. The secondary benefits include a 13th month (THR) and health insurance.
